How to publish your first website with FileZilla

Publishing a website with FileZilla, a free FTP client, lets you send your files to your Zentec Solutions hosting. Just follow these simple steps:

 

✅ Step 1: Download FileZilla

 

✅ Step 2: Gather Your FTP Information

You will need:

  • FTP Host Address (e.g., ftp.yourdomain.com)

  • FTP Username

  • FTP Password

  • Port: usually 21

You can find this information in your cPanel (under “FTP Accounts”) or in your welcome email.

 

✅ Step 3: Connect FileZilla to Your Hosting Account

  1. Open FileZilla

  2. At the top, enter:

    • Host: your FTP server address

    • Username

    • Password

    • Port: 21

  3. Click Quickconnect

 

✅ Step 4: Upload Your Website

  • On the left panel: your local files (your computer)

  • On the right panel: your hosting files

  • Double-click the public_html folder

  • Drag and drop your website files into public_html

✅ Step 5: Check Your Website Online

  • Open your browser

  • Type: https://yourdomain.com

  • Your website should now be live ????

 

ℹ️ If you run into issues:

  • Double-check your FTP credentials

  • Make sure your files are placed inside public_html

  • If problems persist, submit a ticket through the support portal
