Nameservers tell the internet where to find your website and email services. If you're hosting your site with Zentec or using a third-party DNS provider, you may need to update your nameservers accordingly.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
✅ Step 1: Log in to Your Zentec Client Area
-
Log in using your client credentials
-
Click on Domains in the top menu
-
Select the domain name you want to modify
✅ Step 2: Go to Nameserver Management
-
On the domain management page, click Management Tools
-
Then click Nameservers
✅ Step 3: Choose Your Nameserver Setup
You have two options:
-
Use Default Nameservers (recommended if you’re hosting with Zentec)
Example:
ns1.zentecsolutions.ca
ns2.zentecsolutions.ca - Use Custom Nameservers (if using Cloudflare, external DNS, etc.)
Enter the full nameservers provided by the third party.
✅ Step 4: Save and Apply Changes
-
After entering the nameservers, click Save Changes
-
DNS updates can take up to 24–48 hours to fully propagate worldwide
⚠️ Important Notes:
-
Make sure your domain is unlocked if you're managing it at an external registrar
-
Avoid changing nameservers frequently — it can interrupt services
-
If using custom nameservers, ensure they are fully set up with the correct DNS records
